Welcome to Santa Clara University's Open House in the College of Arts and Sciences! We are happy to see you in-person on our beautiful campus. Here is a program to help you navigate our offerings.

Overview of the College

10:00, 11:00, and 1PM in Recital Hall

The College of Arts & Sciences overview will be in Recital Hall at 10AM, 11AM, and 1PM. Presented by our Associate Dean, Professor Kathy Aoki (Department of Art and Art History) with a couple of Broncos joining her, so you get to hear from student perspectives.

Afterwards, you are invited to join a tour or proceed to any areas of interest. Feel free to continue your explorations further at a tour spot, demo, or info neighborhood clusters. Chat with our faculty, students, and staff. Visit our fabulous spaces! Please note that some department tours are all day while others are morning or afternoon only. Please check the Tours schedule.

Tours - locations and times vary

Dowd:

  • Art & Art History - Lobby all day

  • Letterpress - Dowd 306 from 11AM-2PM

SCDI:

  • Biology - SCDI 3315 from 10AM - 2PM

  • Chemistry & Biochemistry - Tours hourly on the half hour. Meet at dept info table in courtyard.

  • DISC (Diversity Inclusion Student Center) - SCDI 2306

  • Physics - Meet in north lobby (by Innovation Zone, aka maker lab). Tours afternoon only.

Music & Dance Facilities:

  • Music - Lobby from 11AM-2PM. Depart in 15 min increments.

Vari:

  • Communication - Vari 109 from 11AM-2PM

Heafey:

    • Imaginarium+WAVE - Heafey 237 at 1PM. Meet at Info Table in courtyard.

Tours start in main lobby of the Edward M. Dowd Building (all day)

Tours start in the film studio of Victor B. and Julia Botto Vari Hall (Vari 109) from 11AM-2PM

Tour of Music and Dance Building meet in the Lobby from 11AM-2PM and depart in 15 min increments

Demo of our letterpress is in the Edward M. Dowd Building (Dowd 306) from 11AM-2PM

Tours for Biology (10AM-2PM), Chemistry & Biochemistry (hourly on the half hour), and Physics (afternoon only) are all in the Sobrato Campus for Discovery & Innovation

Imaginarium

Tours for the Imaginarium+WAVE is at 1PM. Meet at the info table in the SCDI courtyard

  1. Recital Hall - College of Arts and Sciences overview presentations. The Music and Dance Facility is also home of the Music Department and SCU Presents. Music tours will be every 15min from 11AM-2PM.

  2. Dowd - Art & Art History tour to showcase facilities and workshops. Letterpress - Demo and take away (Dowd 306) from 11AM-2PM.

  3. Vari Hall - Communication Department tours of our production studios in Vari 109 from 11AM-2PM.

  4. SCDI - Biology department's showcase of SCDI 3315 research and lab from 10AM-2PM. Chemistry & Biochemistry department's showcase of research and teaching labs hourly on the half hour (meet at info table). Physics Department showcase of research and student lounge spaces in afternoon only. Meet in north lobby.
