The Sabah Subsection is located in Region 10, and was formed on Nov 18th, 2017. The Sabah Subsection of IEEE is actively engaged in promoting professional engineering and computer activities in the northern part of the island of Borneo. As part of the Malaysia Section, the Sabah Subsection provides a local platform to share technical, professional, and personal interests locally, as well as serves as a local interface to the worldwide network of the IEEE.

The UMS Student Branch fosters UMS engineering students especially in electrical and electronic engineering programme and electronic engineering (computer) programme towards future professionalism through technological training, integrated design projects and industrial connections.

Faculty of Engineering was established in 1996 to meet the increasing demand of skilled manpower of the country in the field of engineering. The objective of the establishment is in line with the university mission to become an innovative university. The faculty strives to foster and promote an environment, conducive for teaching and learning to achieve excellence in the engineering field.
