Guide for Authors (After Acceptance)

Authors of the accepted papers are requested to submit the final paper by 12 November 2021.

Final papers can be prepared and submitted following these steps:


1 – PREPARE YOUR FINAL PAPER

  • Revise your paper after taking into account the suggestions and corrections highlighted by the reviewers.

  • Paper must be written in English using the LaTeX or Microsoft Word manuscript templates for A4 format available at https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html

  • Formatting of these templates should not be altered.

  • Template for summary of correction: Here

  • Minimum 4 pages and maximum 6 pages are required per paper in standard IEEE format.


2 – SIMILARITY RATE

IEEE policy requires all submissions to its journals and conference proceedings to be screened through a plagiarism detection process. SCOReD uses IEEE’s CrossCheck portal to check for similarity index. Please ensure that the overall similarity score of your final paper is less than 30%, and no individual source has more than 10% similarity using any of the plagiarism check software such as Turnitin. According to IEEE regulations, any paper with a similarity score of more than 30% will be dropped and will not be included for presentation or publication at SCOReD.


3 – PDF EXPRESS

Prior to submission, it is the responsibility of the author(s) to ensure that the paper complies with the IEEE PDF format. Make sure that the paper has passed the PDF eXpress Test. Papers that are not IEEE-compliant will not be included in the proceedings nor published.


Before Creating a PDF

  • The appropriate copyright clearance code notice is to appear on the bottom of the first page of each paper. The copyright notice to be added depends on the circumstances as follows:

      • For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice is: U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright

      • For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice is: 978-1-6654-0193-7/21/$31.00 ©2021 Crown

      • For papers in which all authors are employed by the European Union, the copyright notice is: 978-1-6654-0193-7/21/$31.00 ©2021 European Union

      • For all other papers the copyright notice is: 978-1-6654-0193-7/21/$31.00 ©2021 IEEE

  • Proofread your source document thoroughly to confirm that it will require no revision.


Creating your PDF eXpress Account

o Select the New Users

Enter the following:

o Conference ID: 53546X

o your email address

o a password

o Continue to enter information as prompted.

An Online confirmation will be displayed and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup.

Previous users of PDF eXpress need to follow the above steps but should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences. Verify that your contact information is valid.


4 – SIGN THE COPYRIGHT FORM FOR EACH PAPER

Each of the corresponding authors of the accepted paper will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to a sign copyright agreement through EDAS. Please complete the IEEE Electronic Copyright Transfer Form (eCF) by 15 November 2021.


5 – REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT

Each paper should have a registration with full payment by the Registration deadline given on the conference website. Please take note of the payment instructions. Any paper without registration will be dropped automatically.


  • Registration and payment of the conference fee must be done through EDAS system (the USD rates apply).

  • Local participants can also pay in Malaysian Ringgit directly to the conference account.

  • For IEEE members, please update your EDAS profile to include your IEEE membership ID.

6 – UPLOAD YOUR FINAL PAPER

The camera ready paper must be uploaded through EDAS system: https://scored2021.edas.info/

  • Please be informed that only registered papers with completed payment would be allowed for submitting the camera ready version.

  • Please take note that only the registered and presented papers will be considered for inclusion in IEEE Xplore.

  • Please double check the information that you provide during online submission:

· title of the paper

· name, affiliation, email address of the authors

· name of the corresponding author, complete mailing address, and email address of the corresponding author
