Competence and Growth Evidence: The Candidate ILPs

Teacher Induction asks candidates to document and reflect upon their teaching via Google Docs in what is called the Competence and Growth Evidence (CGE). The CGE is where each candidate documents their ILP for each inquiry cycle and reflects upon the actions taken in their teaching context as compared to the California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP). The ILP is drafted at an event via a process which takes into consideration district, site, administrator, and personal candidate goals/initiatives.

This is a sample of the blank documents that are created for each of the candidates. The CGE evidence folder is empty as that is where the candidates upload anything they have linked in the inquiry cycle documents.

Candidate Examples

All candidates are asked if they are willing to have their CGE/ILP shared with others. They could decline, accept but be anonymous or accept with full credit. Each folder (except for those who wished to remain anonymous) also contains the evaluation rubric and mentor logs.
