Welcome to SC INBRE

South Carolina IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (SC INBRE) is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) with the goal of increasing the NIH research capacity of the state. Our program office directly supports our 13 network and four outreach institutions, as well as providing educational, workplace and career development, and hands-on research training open to anyone (unless otherwise posted).

Attention FORMER and CURRENT faculty and students:

Please take the time to complete a short 10-minute survey about your SC INBRE experience!

The survey is VERY important for collecting data for our renewal application. The SC INBRE Program is awarded funding for a five-year cycle. At the end of the five-year cycle, we submit a renewal application to NIH to continue our funding. With this renewed funding, we can continue to provide students with hands-on research training and provide faculty with funding opportunities and mentoring resources, as well as opportunities to our network institutions to grow their research capacity and infrastructure.

We will use this data to strengthen our renewal application by providing information on how our students and faculty have progressed through their academic career using resources available through SC INBRE Program funding.Institutional Principal Investigators DO NOT need to take the survey.

If you have any questions, please contact SC INBRE Program Manager, John Clarkson (email) for further information. Thank you!
