This Translation to Leadership event will use the LASER district Self-Assessment tool to engage science leaders in strategic, reflective dialogue around a set of research-based indicators of high-quality science education systems. This Landscape Analysis is being conducted statewide, and LASER will use districts' input from the Self-Assessment tool to shape future programs for science leadership.
For the North Sound and South Sound LASER Alliances, this also means using the Self-Assessment input to broker collaboration between districts with shared interests. District science leaders can bring a district administrator or other leader who can help complete the Self-Assessment and support the ensuing reflective, strategic dialogue around their science education systems.
1) Introduce Landscape Phase 2: Purpose & Background
2) Begin: LASER K-12 Science/STEM District Self-Assessment
