The REC's Warrnambool Excursion marks the second long distance, invite only excursion. Attendees got to explore the reigonal city of Warrnambool.
Warrnambool is about 257km away from the City of Melbourne, and the train ride took around 3 hours to complete. Once attendees made the journey, they were excited to head south onto the beach and take in the view of the ocean.
After the beach, everyone headed north independently to grab lunch and come by Lake Petrobe, where motor boats ran through the gaps between miniature islands.
We got to see it all; from the beach that stretched for kilometres to the beautiful landscape that stood a few kilometres away from the main city, attendees made sure to take in every view and not waste a single second.
However, Warrnambool marks the last long-distance regional journey for the REC; for these school holidays. Attendees had plenty of fun at the two reigonal destinations we visited; Swan Hill and Warrnambool.
Hopefully, the REC's long-distance excursions run again next school holidays, and the REC can finish visiting all the Regional Cities.
