Brighton/Williamstown Beach 

Monday, 29th of June, marked the Railway Enthusiasts Club’s inaugural excursion. On this day, the group had visited two places.

Initially, the two groups in our excursion, Group A and Group B, respectively completed the Metro Tunnel Passport Challenge successfully, and explored the Metro Tunnel as well as the new HCMTs (High Capacity Metro Trains).

Group A, after successfully completing the Metro Tunnel Passport challenge, proceeded to explore the east with a memorable visit to Brighton Beach via the Sandringham line. All the group members had great fun there, posing for photos and (most memorably) writing our club name down in the sand! Their dedication to this excursion, despite limited members, was so much so that they did not hesitate to go into their lunch break to complete their Metro Tunnel Passports.

Group A were not the only ones who had great fun on this trip, however! Group B found themselves heading down to Williamstown and Williamstown Beach, where they visited what was left of the former Williamstown Pier Station. All group members greatly enjoyed their experiences at the beach, including being chased by the waves and getting sand stuck in their shoes.

Regardless of our groups, all excursion attendees had a great time in the beaches each group visited!

We as leaders would like to bring forward our deepest thanks to all those who attended our very first excursion, and we hope that next time we can arrange even more things for our members and their demands! We thank all those who assisted with our excursions, and those who made the whole experience one to remember, such as the leaders, managers, and members who all came together to ensure that the excursion ended with a blast!
