Admissions process into a 4-year university, with an end goal of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN):
Normal process is to begin by applying to a 4-year university
Talk with an advisor to best choose the correct pre-nursing classes
May be required to declare a Nursing Major within the first year
After 2 years of pre-nursing and prerequisite classes, students will apply to the School of Nursing at their University
Admissions process into a community college, with an end goal of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Many require that you have your certified nursing assistant (CNA or NAC) certification before applying
Like a BSN, prerequisite college level classes are necessary to be completed before applying to the nursing program
Many ADN programs require taking the TEAS test
Note, this is for nurses who already have their nursing license and an associate's degree in nursing
