The charge of this group centers on working with community partners to ensure that students are receiving enriching activities and supplemental learning outside of the regular school day. The group works with partners to collaborate and provide thought leadership, input, and recommendations on how partners can implement various types of innovative, fun, and educational activities for students – these activities include urban gardening programs, healthy eating instruction, outdoor and wilderness adventures, mentoring, and internships, among others. The group supports, through the work of onsite and offsite community partners, opportunities for students to explore their interests and grow into highly-skilled, creative, and well-rounded adults.
