What's Scholars In STEM?

Scholars in STEM is a nonprofit student-led initiative aimed to provide middle schoolers from underrepresented communities a gateway to a variety of STEM subjects. Scholars in STEM partners with local schools and student organizations to provide after-school and summer session mentoring in a diverse variety of STEM fields ranging from subjects like Neuroscience and Ecology to Pre-Algebra and Computer Science.

At Scholars in STEM, our mission is to empower and inspire middle schoolers from underrepresented communities to explore and excel in STEM fields through mentorship and guidance. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported in their pursuit of scientific, technological, engineering, and mathematical knowledge.

Through our mentoring program, we aim to ignite curiosity, develop critical thinking skills, and cultivate a passion for STEM subjects, paving the way for future success and closing the opportunity gap. By providing access to digitalized resources, personalized lesson plans and role models from diverse backgrounds, we strive to equip our mentees with the confidence and skills needed to thrive in the ever-evolving STEM landscape.
