Welcome! Our organization works to provide students from underrepresented communities a gateway to STEM by connecting high school students to young aspiring scientists and mathematicians just like you. Our mentors consist of high school students that want to share their passion for STEM with you through weekly Google meetings (45-60 minutes). You will be matched to mentor(s) based on your interests and schedule.
The 2026 Summer Session will be held from the week of July 12th to August 15th (5 weeks). Applications will be due on July 1st, 2026 at 11:59 pm EST
There are a variety of STEM related courses available, but there is no guarantee that you will receive your top selected choice, as that depends on mentor availability. However, we will try our best to fulfill your subject request and know that you will most definitely enjoy the course regardless of what mentor you're matched to.
Please check out the "Course Option" for a brief course description for the courses currently available and what may be included in the curriculum, though that is ultimately entirely up to your mentor to decide. If there is a specific aspect of the course you would like to learn about, feel free to discuss that with your mentor!
Please note that this program requires your full dedication and so in order to not disappoint the trust and commitment of the high school mentors, you will be expelled from the program if you:
- Miss more than 1 session if you are doing 1 session per week
- Miss more than 2 sessions if you are doing 2 sessions per week
- Miss more than 4 sessions if you are doing 3 sessions per week
A valid excuse must be provided for your absence and you must notify both the program board and your mentor at least 24 hours before your designated session time. Please try to reschedule your session if possible.
As a online only program as of now, communication is key so it is vital that you check you email everyday for updates and communicate with your mentors. For security reasons, Gmail and Google Hangouts will be the main mode of communication between mentors and mentees. If you feel like another platform for communication is more convenient, please email the program board to confirm!
