Minnesota State Fair Project

The Minnesota State Fair Project at the University of St. Thomas leverages the State Fair as an economics laboratory. Led by Dr. Tyler Schipper, the project encourages undergraduate students to develop economic tools and critical thinking to uncover the economics behind the Fair. 

The central pillar of the project is its ongoing effort to measure inflation with the On a Stick Index (OaSI). Alongside the OaSI, students seek to answer their own questions and communicate insights about the Great Minnesota Get-Together.
