As a nature-based artist, Cecelia loves being offline and taking time to notice the ephemeral in the everyday. Like the changing seasons, Cecelia’s own style + color palette evolves throughout the year. In additional to textile design and wearable art, she fluidly embraces many mediums to bring her ideas to life— including photography, collage, mixed media, and upcycled materials. Her dreamlike designs strive to remind us of our connection to the earth, and inspire us to live with renewed curiosity + wonder. The brand name OFFLINE taps into the revival of embodied connection fueling social change, pays homage to the late great Virgil Abloh, and his legacy of shaping culture and the collective conscious through design.
In a culture obsessed with fast fashion, celebrity, and empty trends — how can we take a stand?
Cecelia ventured into wearable art in 2022 as a way to “be her own billboard” and use style statements as a call-to-action on climate. OFFLINE reminds us of our oneness with nature, dissolving the artifice of digital culture to reveal the vibrant living world around us. Inspired by Zen philosophy, Japanese aesthetics, biophilic design, and neuroaesthetics, my work taps into the healing power of the present and the power of small sparks.
What makes this brand visionary and unique?
Scenic Route Studios is where mindfulness meets creativity — when you’re in the right headspace, inspiration will find you. In addition to her creative endeavors, Cecelia advises clients on sustainable innovation and equitable design, and serves as the Austin Chapter Lead for Yale Blue Green— a global community of alumni driving climate action through education, service, and community partnerships.
Through OFFLINE and her community leadership, Cecelia continues to grow her circle of biophilic artists, designers, and diverse groups of people connected to the land, harnessing the potential of creativity within a social change ecosystem.
