SBU Company of Archers was founded in 2004 by Alexander Kratchman after returning from Oxford University. The idea to start an archery club came from Howie Zhu, an SBU alum who, along with Alex, joined the Oxford University Company of Archers. Together, they researched equipment, and university safety policies, and drafted a constitution, budget, and practice protocol.
