The UFL: Everything you need to know and my thoughts.

It seems as though every couple of years a new spring football league comes along and last maybe one season and eventually folds, the UFL may have found the solution to sticking around. The UFL was formed when in September of 2023 rival Spring leagues the USFL (United States Football League) and the XFL (Extreme Football League) decided to merge and create the UFL. They brought the Birmingham Stallions, Houston Roughnecks, Memphis Showboats, and Michigan Panthers from the USFL and the Arlington Renegades, DC Defenders, St.Louis Battle Hawks, and the San Antonio Brahmas from the XFL for a total of 8 teams. They will play a 10 game season with there first games already taking place this past weekend on March 30th.

Now let's be honest the talent obviously is not up to par with the NFL, but it's football nonetheless and at this time of the year you can't be too picky about the football available to watch

Some notable players you may recognize are AJ McCarron (St Louis Battlehawks) and Matt Corral (Birmingham Stallions). McCarron returns as the reigning MVP and from a short stint with the Bengals last season.

Personally I have decided my team is the St.Louis Battlehawks since former Bengals player AJ McCarron plays for them. But I am excited for the season and to have some football to watch in the Spring
