É com satisfação que anunciamos que o IX Congresso Bienal da SBFA será realizado entre os dias 28 e 31 de julho de 2026, na Universidade Católica de Pernambuco (UNICAP), no centro do Recife.

Depois das edições em São Leopoldo do Sul, Fortaleza, Salvador, Campinas, Rio de Janeiro e Olinda, vamos para Recife para mais um encontro que reafirma o compromisso da SBFA com o fortalecimento e a difusão da filosofia analítica no Brasil e na América Latina.

O evento contará com a organização conjunta da SBFA e dos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Filosofia da UNICAP e da UFPE.  

Temos certeza que a UNICAP, que recebeu com êxito o último encontro da ANPOF em Recife, oferecerá novamente uma excelente infraestrutura para acolher nossa comunidade.

Convidamos todas(os) a submeterem resumos de trabalhos na área da Filosofia Analítica (entendida de maneira ampla) para a IX Conferência da SBFA que acontecerá presencialmente na Universidade Católica de Pernambuco (UNICAP), em Recife - PE, de 28 a 31 de julho de 2026.

Diretrizes para submissões de resumos para comunicações

• Os resumos podem ser escritos em português, espanhol e inglês, expondo o argumento central do trabalho com clareza (máximo 500 palavras). 

• O resumo deverá ser enviado sem identificação do(a) autor(a) num arquivo docx. ou PDF para o e-mail sbfa.sbpha@gmail.com. 

• O assunto do e-mail deve ser Submissão de resumo - IX Conferência da SBFA.

Diretrizes para submissão de proposta de Grupo de Trabalho ou mesa temática (simpósio)

• As(os) organizadoras(es) de encontro de GT ou simpósio devem enviar a proposta para o e-mail sbfa.sbpha@gmail.com, contendo um resumo da proposta de no máximo 600 palavras e os resumos de cada trabalho a ser apresentado na mesa (mínimo 400 - máximo 600 palavras).

• O assunto do e-mail deve ser Submissão de Simpósio - IX Conferência da SBFA.

A área da filosofia analítica na qual se adequa o trabalho deve estar explicitada, a saber:

• Epistemologia, 

• Filosofia da Ciência, 

• Estética Analítica,

• Ética Analítica, 

• Filosofia das Ciências Cognitivas, 

• Filosofia da Linguagem, 

• Filosofia da Matemática, 

• Filosofia da Mente, 

• Filosofia Política Analítica

• História da Filosofia Analítica,

• Lógica e Filosofia da Lógica,

• Metafísica Analítica

Para trabalhos em co-autoria, um dos autores deve se inscrever e estar presente no evento.

As falas no evento podem ser feitas em qualquer um dos idiomas acima, contudo, devem ser feitas na mesma língua na qual o resumo foi escrito. Cada apresentação terá duração de 30 minutos, incluindo as perguntas e respostas.

Todas as propostas serão avaliadas pelo Comitê Científico da SBFA.

Critérios de avaliação

• Conformidade com as instruções de submissão.

• Clareza, coesão e correção ortográfica e gramatical do resumo.

• Adequação ao tema e aos objetivos da IX Conferência SBFA.

• Relevância e originalidade.

IX Conference of the Brazilian Society of Analytic Philisophy (SBFA, 2026)

We are pleased to announce that the 9th Biennial Congress of the SBFA will be held from July 28th to 31st, 2026, at the Catholic University of Pernambuco (UNICAP), in downtown Recife. After the events in São Leopoldo do Sul, Fortaleza, Salvador, Campinas, Rio de Janeiro, and Olinda, we are heading to Recife for another meeting that reaffirms the SBFA's commitment to strengthening and disseminating analytic philosophy in Brazil and Latin America.

The event will be jointly organized by the SBFA and the Graduate Programs in Philosophy at UNICAP and UFPE.

We are confident that UNICAP, which successfully hosted the last ANPOF meeting in Recife, will once again offer excellent infrastructure to welcome our community.

Call for Abstracts

We invite everyone to submit abstracts of work in the area of ​​Analytic Philosophy (broadly understood) for the IX SBFA Conference that will take place in person at Catholic University of Pernambuco, in Recife - Pernambuco/Brazil, from July 28th to 31st, 2026.

Guidelines for abstract submissions to individual talks

• Abstracts can be written in Portuguese, Spanish and English, clearly stating the central argument of the work (maximum 500 words).

Guidelines for submitting a Working Group or Panel Proposal (symposium)

• The organizers of a GT meeting or symposium must send the proposal to the email sbfa.sbpha@gmail.com, containing a summary of the proposal of a maximum of 500 words and summaries of each work to be presented at the table (maximum 500 words)

• In the same email there must be an identification sheet containing name, email, institutional affiliation, level (master's degree, doctorate, post-doctoral fellow, professor), title of work, (see the list of subjects below)

• The subject of the email must be Symposium Submission - IX SBFA Conference.

The area of ​​analytic philosophy in which the work is adapted must be explained, namely:

• Epistemology,

• Philosophy of Science,

• Analytical Aesthetics

• Analytical Ethics,

• Philosophy of Cognitive Sciences,

• Philosophy of Language,

• Philosophy of Mathematics,

• Philosophy of Mind,

• Analytical Political Philosophy

• History of Analytic Philosophy,

• Logic and Philosophy of Logic.

• Analytic Metaphysics.

For co-authored works, one of the authors must register and participate in the event in person.

Talks at the event can be made in any of the languages ​​above, however, they must be made in the same language in which the summary was written. Each presentation will last 30 minutes, including questions and answers.

All proposals will be evaluated by the SBFA Scientific Committee.

Criteria for assessment

• Compliance with submission instructions.

• Clarity, cohesion and spelling and grammatical correction of the abstract.

• Adequacy to the theme and objectives of IX SBFA Conference

• Relevance and originality.
