Guided by Community, Inspired by Students
"Educating our children today requires collaboration, transparency, and a genuine commitment to our students, parents, staff, and one another."
I am Susan Mingey, and I have dedicated 40 years of my professional career to serving the Haverford Township community. I began my career in education as a third-grade teacher in the Penn-Delco School District, then served as a Seminar teacher at Manoa Elementary, and later for 15 wonderful years worked at Coopertown Elementary. I also worked as a Special Education Supervisor, collaborating with teachers across all five elementary schools to ensure individualized programming for every student. For 15 years, I had the privilege of serving as Principal of Lynnewood Elementary School, and for four years, I had the honor to serve as a member of this Haverford Township School Board.
I have lived in this township for 30 years and take great pride in watching my two of my four children (now proud graduates of our schools) and my grandchildren grow up in this community. Haverford Township is where I live, work, volunteer, and continue to invest my time and energy. I truly believe in The Haverford Way.
Why I am seeking to continue my service on the School Board:
Educating our children today requires collaboration, transparency, and a genuine commitment to our students, parents, staff, and one another. Our teachers are the backbone of our schools and the heart of our community. They devote countless hours to teaching, mentoring, and supporting our students, and most importantly in these times, providing a safe and nurturing environment for them to learn and grow. Their tireless efforts, especially in recent years, deserves our deepest respect and unwavering support.
