Guided by Community, Inspired by Students
"Great schools are made by dedicated teachers, hard-working students, and strong communities."
Keith Heinerichs has resided in Delaware County his entire life, and has been a resident of Haverford Township for over 20 years. He has had three children go through the Haverford School District, and was the head basketball coach at Haverford High School for 12 years. He led the Fords to its first Central League Championship in over 50 years, and was named Pennsylvania's Coach of the Year in 2022. Keith has over 25 years in public education, and is currently the Principal at Amosland Elementary School in Ridley Township.
In addition to living here and coaching here, Keith has also dedicated countless hours to volunteering in Havertown. He coached youth baseball, youth basketball, and CYO volleyball. He volunteered with many booster clubs at HHS and lent a helping hand whenever one was needed at any school. With over 25 years of dedicated service, he has worn many hats in our public schools always leading with integrity, compassion, and a steadfast belief in every child’s potential.
Keith chose to raise his family in Havertown because of the close community feel and the amazing school district. He knows that great schools are made by dedicated teachers, hard-working students, and strong communities. Throughout Keith's career, he has worked tirelessly to create safe, supportive, and inspiring learning environments where students can thrive academically and personally. He understands the challenges educators face, the importance of strong leadership, and the vital role that community plays in shaping the future of our schools. Now, Keith is ready to bring that same passion and experience to the School District of Haverford Township's School Board, where he will continue to champion high-quality education, responsible decision-making, and opportunities for every student to succeed.
