Background

North East Derbyshire District Council local plan is a year-18 months behind Sheffield's local plan, and are therefore  currently undergoing their first round of consultation.  You can find out more on their website here.

The proposal is to cross the boundary of the Sheffield SS19 site and have housing running from next Charnock Hall Primary Academy to Sunny Bank Farm on White Lane/High Lane, stretching across the tram tracks up to Birley Lane. There will be 652 new homes in total if all go ahead with 304 from Sheffield and 348 from NEDDC. There is also a suggestion for retail space or a care home near the tram tracks.
