How does a school counselor help social emotionally?

  • Provide individual counseling and check-ins with students (Direct Services)

  • Providing students with a School Counselor Contact Request Form (Direct Services)

  • Delivering In-Class Instruction Lessons and providing resources (Direct Services)

  • Facilitating Tier 2 Small Group Counseling (as needed) (Direct Services)

  • Referring students and families to School-Based Mental Health & other community resources (Indirect Services)
