Advisory Council
Santiago School Counseling Team utilizes an advisory council to enhance the school counseling program being delivered.
Purpose
Serves in a leadership role to support the mission and goals of the school counseling program.
Provides a communication link between the school counseling program and the five stakeholder groups.
Acts as a resource and support for the school counseling program.
Reviews data and provides feedback on the effectiveness of the school counseling program.
Contributes ideas regarding the needs of the various stakeholder groups.
Council Members
Typically 8 – 15 people who have a vested interest in the school counseling program.
Link between the school counseling program and the various groups to be served and should include members from the following stakeholder groups:
Students
Parents/guardians
Educators/administrators
Business/Community members
Post-Secondary Representatives
Annual Meetings
We currently meet once each semester.
