As a Social Scientist at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) from 2022-2023, I collaborated with community members, civil society organizations, and fellow national laboratories to ensure clean energy transitions are inclusive, equitable, and grounded in local context. My work focused on guiding programs and policy mechanisms for clean energy transitions in low-income, Indigenous, and historically marginalized communities across the U.S. Research methods include participatory research and scenario-based planning to produce resilient and just socio-economic-environmental outcomes.
I led multi-stakeholder engagements for community-driven transition planning and scenario development, facilitated participatory appraisals of transition pathways, and designed research frameworks and mixed-methods strategies to support interdisciplinary teams tackling complex sustainability challenges.
