At Sassin Rustic Roost Sanctuary & Rescue, every bird has a story—and every story deserves a chance at a happy ending.

What began as a love for poultry has grown into a lifelong commitment to providing a safe, compassionate home for birds that have been abandoned, neglected, injured, disabled, or simply had nowhere else to go. Here, they aren't judged by their appearance, their abilities, or whether they can lay eggs. They're valued because they matter.

Our sanctuary is home to chickens, ducks, geese, and other domestic fowl who have found their forever home with us. Some arrive scared, some arrive broken, and some require lifelong medical care or accommodations. We believe that every life is worth fighting for, and we are dedicated to giving each bird the love, dignity, and care they deserve.

Rescue is about more than providing shelter. It's about rehabilitation when possible, lifelong sanctuary when needed, educating others about responsible animal care, and advocating for the birds that are too often overlooked.

Everything we do is made possible through the support of our community. Purchases from our farm-fresh eggs, handmade décor, bakery items, and other offerings help fund the rescue by providing feed, veterinary care, medications, housing improvements, enrichment, and the everyday needs of the birds in our care.
