गुणाः सर्वत्र पूज्यन्ते पितृवंशो निरर्थकः ।

वासुदेवं नमन्तीमे वसुदेवं न मानवाः ॥३९॥

अन्वयः-

गुणाः सर्वत्र पूज्यन्ते पितृवंशः निरर्थकः इमे मानवाः वासुदेवम् नमन्ति वसुदेवम् न ।

अनुवादः-

Virtues are honoured everywhere; the heredity of the father, [is] meaningless. These people bow Vasudev/Krishna [and] not Vasudeva (the father].
