It is the duty of the San Andreas Highway Patrol to provide security to all members of the public in the state of San Andreas. We shall always be ready to protect the rights of everyone as well as enforcing laws. It is our task to provide a safe environment for everyone within our jurisdiction.
You will start of applying with a written application where our recruitment team will follow up on your application on discord. It is important that you take time and effort on your application as we are not looking for people that have previous experience's but rather people who are showing commitment, dedication and will to learn and improve.
If you're application got denied you can always re apply after 1 week. If you're application got accepted then congratulations you will now attend a training where you will learn the basics of being a trooper
After your training you will have too do 3 mandatory ride alongs. These are in place so that you can see how we act in the real world and make you gain experience see how what you have learned in the training can be applied.
If your application has been accepted there will be a couple of steps left before you can patrol on the streets. This is so we can ensure that all troopers have a basic level of understanding on how to operate as a trooper.
Basic Introduction Course [BIC]:
The first training is a 2-3 hours introduction course and covers all the basics in law enforcement. It includes the following:
- Introduction to SAHP
- Equipment overview
- Radio operation
- Traffic stops
- High-risk stops
- Arrest procedures
- Pursuit techniques
- System introduction
If an individual passes the BIC they receive the rank of trooper-cadet. Before being let out on solo-patrol each troopers needs to participate in atleast 3 ride-alongs with active duty troopers in the field.
Once a trooper has passed the BIC and all mandatory ride-alongs they will be sworn in as San Andreas Highway Patrol Trooper following a short lecture by SAHP command.
Additional training sessions will be held during your career within SAHP and may include the following:
- Weapons training
- Accident training
- Hostage rescue training
- Active shooter training
