About Me
My name is Sam Dierks, and my journey into the world of agricultural education began long before I stepped into a classroom as an instructor. I grew up on an acreage just south of Hastings, Nebraska, a place where my whole life I have been surrounded by the beauties of agriculture—from the precision of a well-maintained engine to the complex biology of a greenhouse in full bloom. This upbringing instilled in me a deep-seated respect for the industry that feeds and fuels the world, and it is the primary reason I stand as an Agricultural Educator today. My professional mission is to take that lifelong passion and translate it into a transformative educational experience for the next generation of agricultural leaders.
As I look toward my future as an educator at Adams Central, my focus remains on giving students unforgettable experiences that push them to be the best they can possibly be. Whether we are discussing plant growth in the greenhouse, calculating ventilation for a shop, or exploring research pathways at a university, the objective is the same: to provide a diverse learning environment that keeps students excited and engaged.
Agriculture is the backbone of our community in Nebraska, and by serving as a facilitator, mentor, and advocate, I aim to develop the future generations who will sustain and grow this industry. My role is to provide the knowledge, the environment, and the encouragement; the students’ role is to take that knowledge and apply it to change the world.
