My time in Barcelona, Spain and throughout Europe was nothing short of incredible.
The cultural perspective that I gained was absolutely astounding. It is just so crazy to me that there's an entire different world out there.
The word that has stuck with me the most throughout this trip is the word sonder.
Sonder (noun)- the feeling one has on realizing that every other individual one sees has a life as full and real as one’s own, in which they are the central character and others, including oneself, have secondary or insignificant roles.
It is difficult to comprehend that there are 8 billion in this world that all have their own personal lives, goals, dreams, thoughts, feelings and emotions -- and coming to Europe gave me a larger glimpse into the rest of the world that is out there to see.
My time in the school was fantastic. The students and teachers here are just so loving, kind, and grateful. They express so much joy and gratitude that it is contagious.
And my time with my host family is one that I will remember forever! I will most definitely be staying in touch with them.
The relationships that I built while I was here are irreplaceable.
I am beyond grateful for this experience, and I am so happy that I made the decision to take the jump and take this trip.
This isn't a goodbye to Europe, it's only a see you later!
