On June 27th, 2022, Nature Medicine published a SALURBAL Project study that highlights the effects of extreme temperatures on mortality for urban populations in Latin America.

Josiah Kephart, PhD

Post-Doctoral Research Fellow

Josiah Kephart is a Postdoctoral Fellow and incoming Assistant Professor at the Dornsife School of Public Health at Drexel University. He received an MPH and PhD in exposure science and environmental epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where he was awarded a Fogarty Global Health Fellowship. Josiah’s research focuses on understanding the contribution of climate change, air pollution, and the urban environment to health disparities in Latin America and the US.
