AMENABLE MORTALITY TO HEALTHCARE

Mortalidad susceptible a la atención médica en ciudades de América Latina: un estudio transversal que examina la variación entre países en la mortalidad susceptible y el papel de las métricas urbanas

On August 9, 2021, the SALURBAL Project published a study that examined the variation in city-level amenable mortality, i.e. mortality due to conditions that can be mitigated in the presence of timely and effective healthcare, in 363 Latin American cities and measured associations between amenable mortality rates and urban metrics.

Co-investigator of the SALURBAL project

Pricila Mullachery, PhD, MPH, previously Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the UHC, is now a Senior Research Scientist II. Her research interest focuses on the effect of policies on health inequities. Pricila earned a degree in dental surgery from the University of Pernambuco (Brazil), a Master of Science from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz, Brazil), and a PhD from New York University.
