"I have been a member of St. Elisabeth’s since the end of 1987 when my wife Mandy and I arrived in Eastbourne with our then very young two daughters.

In our younger days we led the church youth group together and since retirement have taken on various administrative tasks for the church. During much of my time at St. Elisabeth’s I have enjoyed being involved with the traditional church choir."

Christine Swanborough-Nilson

"I joined St Elisabeth’s church in 2015 when I moved back to Eastbourne after a few years working in the Middle East. I grew up in the Congregational church (now URC) but was baptised and confirmed an Anglican before marrying Christian, whilst living and worshipping in Helsinki. My faith has developed over the years, as I have faced different challenges and been able to draw strength from the knowledge that God is always constant.
I enjoy worship that includes music and contemplation, and believe that community is an important aspect of church life. I am also a member of the church eco group and believe that, as christians, we have a responsibility of stewardship of the planet and God’s creation."

"My wife Christine, I and our three boys moved to Eastbourne in 1997 from Finland. Christine and I were part of a group that started and grew an Anglican church plant in Al Ain, UAE during our time there. We joined St E's on our return to Eastbourne in 2015.

Apart from looking after the Electoral Roll, and participating in the Deanery Synod, I also look after St E's digital presence as the webmaster, and look forward to working with David, our new Vicar, as an ALM in mission."
