Charities We Support
St. Elisabeth's has a real heart for mission and outreach. To that end we support a number of charities including Esuubi, Mission Aviation Fellowship, CMS, Through Faith Missions and Diocesan Family Support Network. You can find more information on our supported charities below.
Esuubi
Founded in 2005, Esuubi is a UK-based charity which works with local communities in Uganda to develop strong, sustainable projects which meet local needs and help the communities to support their most vulnerable children. An example of our long-term sustainable thinking can be seen in our work in Mityana, where we are combining Ekiwumulo Orphanage Village, School and Vocational Education Centre with a tourist café. Not only will the café provide funds to support Ekiwumulo, but it will allow the children at Ekiwumulo to learn life skills that allow them to become valuable members of the local community.
Mission Aviation Fellowship
MAF believe nothing should stop people from receiving the love of God and the essentials of life – no matter how remote they are. Their vision is to see `isolated people physically and spiritually transformed in Christ`s name.` believing that everyone deserves a chance to experience the love of Jesus Christ. They use aviation and technology, because in many places those are the only ways to reach isolated people with Christ’s love.
Church Mission Society

The vision of CMS is to see all God’s people engaged in God’s mission, bringing challenge, change, hope and freedom to the world. Pioneering: we try new things, ask questions, cross boundaries
Evangelistic: we share Jesus in word and action
Relational: we get alongside people, becoming a genuine part of the communities where we find ourselves
Faithful: where others have left or given up, we remain committed for the long-haul. As a mission community God calls us to be such people.
Diocesan Family Support Network
https://www.familysupportwork.org/
FSW support children and families through difficult times in their lives including low income and poverty; mental or physical ill health; disability; learning difficulties; school non-attendance and exclusion; bereavement; family break-up and domestic abuse. They help children and parents/carers to resolve problems, develop confidence and resilience and improve relationships. They work closely with schools to support children to stay in mainstream education and do well. FSW also provides food parcels, clothing, household goods and help with winter fuel bills where necessary. Their aim is to support parents as they try to ensure that their children have the best start in life – “A strong family for every child in Sussex".
