World Thinking Day Registration Due by Feb 12
The World Thinking Day 2026 theme is “Friendship.”
This year, we are exploring ‘Our Friendship’ and celebrating 100 years of World Thinking Day. We’ll highlight the importance of friendship and connections to encourage and empower us to work together to continue to build our amazing global community. See Slack for time/date/location information.
Every Year our Service Unit holds a World Thinking Day Event where each troop picks and learns about a different WAGGGS Country and what it means to be a Girl Guide or Girl Scout in that country. When picking we ask troops that no more than 5 troops pick from any one of the 5 WAGGGS World Regions to make sure we get to travel all over the world each year.
Our Troops work on their posters, swaps, foods, and come together to host tables where we teach each other about our countries, and get stamps in our passports. We also do the World Thinking Day badge activities during the event. If you have CSAs who would be able to help please sign them up! And if your troop would like to come but will not be representing a country you can do that, just be sure to sign up by the deadline so we have you in our total count.
The registration fee for scouts and tagalongs is $10 per person. Siblings (Tagalongs) are welcome at the event. They will need to pay the registration fee in order to participate in the events (receiving a passport, sample foods, etc). The cost of the WTD badge is included in this fee and will be distributed at a future service unit meeting. Troops can use the QR code or this link to pay: https://square.link/u/CvRZhN2N
