Press Room – A Safe Journey With Her

Welcome to the press room for the Embassy of Belgium’s 2025 campaign under the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, aligned with this year’s global theme “Ending Digital Violence against all Women and Girls” and the UNiTE message #NoExcuse for Online Abuse.

In partnership with Benelux missions, UN Women, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS), and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), Belgium is hosting two key events in Bangkok:

• 27 November 2025
  Academic Seminar — “Ending Digital Violence against All Women and Girls”
  Hosted at the Belgian Residence, this expert seminar brings together government, UN partners, academics, youth representatives and survivor advocates to explore the impacts of technology-facilitated gender-based violence and practical solutions for prevention, accountability and support.
  
  

• 30 November 2025
  Community Event — “A Safe Journey With Her to End Digital Violence”
  A family ride and public engagement programme at Benjakitti Park and the Thai–Belgian Bridge, connecting safe public spaces with safer online behaviour through children’s activities, digital-safety games, a Speelstraat-inspired play street and the Emoji Selfie & Pledge Wall.
