From freshman to senior year I was a student worker employee through the Work Study program. The department I worked in was the Student Success Center. I managed the front desk of the office, scheduled appointments, greeted visitors, answered phone calls and completed small projects.
Accessibility and Disability Services

Through my job with Accessibility and Disability Services, I problem solved and created solutions for students who needed any accommodations. I also facilitated communication between students and professors to arrange/proctor accommodated exams.
Rec Sports Hike Supervisor

I organized and led weekly hikes for Dominican Students through the Recreational Sports program. It was a great way to meet new people, and destress from school work and explore the bay area.
Labor and Delivery Tutor

After realizing my love and excitment and Labor and Delivery nursing, I became the university tutor for this course. I tutored dozens of students and prepared them for course using textbook content, as well as personal experience as a nursing student.
Volunteer Work
Canal Alliance

Through my Sevice Learning courses at Dominican, I helped teach English to adult immigrants at Canal Alliance. I had the title of "teacher aid" which means I helped them complete homework, assist lessons and held basic level conversations, encouraging them to practice their speaking skills. I also presented at the Service Learning Symposium and spoke about personal exeriences from the semester and their connections to course content.
Adaptive Dance

Leighton Dance Project, Folsom CA
A program that held free weekly dance classes for kids with disabilities ages 2-18. Every student is paired up with a "buddy" or studio dancer and we targeted fine and gross motor skills, imitation, social interaction, imaginative play, and creative movement, all disguised in the form of a dance class.
Internship

Leighton Dance Project, Folsom CA
Through this internship I learned how to facilitate dance classes and other skills that are required in the dance industry. For exmaple I substituted classes and rehearsals, maintained costumes, and assisted teachers.
