Paper Trails is coming to Nanaimo Fringe Festival 2026!
Turn off your brain and chill out in a blanket fort. Take a break and take comfort in an unconventional space. You can chat, make bracelets, and reconnect with your inner child. Or, if you need, take a nap! In this fort, you're allowed to let go of your worries for a moment and just chill. Step into another world of blankets, pillows, and slumber parties!
pillow talk explores the creation of a safe, carefree space, in an otherwise harsher, more opposing environment. We explore the creation of a childhood world that allows audience members to step away from the stress of their lives and surroundings and take a moment to breathe.

What is it like to be on the cusp of performance?
The students of Co-Lab explore this concept by employing an exhibition / gallery style performance where the audience can come and go, happen upon the performance midway through, or not at all. To feel what it is like to create for - and perform - multiple times a day, at 'untraditional' hours, to a full lobby to when no one is watching.
8 performance collaborations of 30 min each x 3 (morning, afternoon, and night).
Find the full show program here.
If you plan to attend during the unconventional hours (6:00 AM - 10:00 AM, or 10:00 PM - 2:00 AM), please RSVP here to be put on the guest list.
