A 2D plat-former about guiding the light with your mouse to find your way.
At the end of my first year in University, I had to develop a solo game project around the theme Vision over the course of a month in 2021.
From May 2023 to June 2023 I revisited the idea with some friends and reused the core mechanics to create some interesting designs.
Engine: Unity
What I worked on:
Designing the player movement
Designing levels and puzzles
Designing the assets and environment art
Full details on how I designed Lightless are available here.
During my Game Design module in University, I worked on several projects with each one being given two or three weeks of development to iterate and prototype a game idea following a specific theme. Each game idea would be focused around certain game mechanics or game design topics.
Some of my favourites are available here.
