Rx AI Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 12, 2026. Last updated: June 12, 2026.
Who we are
Rx AI ("Rx AI", "we", "us") is a medication organization and reminder app. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and your choices. Rx AI does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Information we collect
We collect only what the app needs to work:
Account information your name and email address when you create an account or sign in.
Medication and health information you add or scan medication names, strengths, forms, schedules, instructions, refill details, the times you mark a dose taken, snoozed, or not taken (and any reason you choose), and optional health-profile entries such as conditions, allergies, providers, pharmacy, and emergency contacts.
Photos you scan when you scan a medication label or a provider document, the image is sent to our backend so text can be extracted (for example, medication name, strength, schedule, and instructions). You review and confirm the extracted details before they are saved.
Reference activity when you tap "Summarize with AI" on a reference page, the text of that page is sent to our backend to generate a plain-language summary.
Caregiver information if you invite a caregiver, we process the invitation and the permissions you choose. Invitations use a code; we do not upload your phone contacts.
Notification preferences the reminder settings you choose. Reminders are scheduled as on-device notifications.
Limited technical data basic information needed to operate and secure the app and troubleshoot errors.
How we use information
To organize your medications, schedule reminders, and show your dose history and refill estimates. To extract text from labels and documents you scan and to summarize reference pages you choose. To let you share information with a caregiver you invite, according to the permissions you set. To keep the app reliable and secure.
We do not sell your information. We do not use your health information for advertising, and we do not share it with advertisers. Rx AI does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Service providers
We use trusted service providers to run the app. Supabase hosts our backend and stores app data so your information is available across the app. A third-party AI provider receives the content of a scanned label or document, or the reference page you choose to summarize, to extract or summarize text; our AI provider keys are held only on our backend and are never shipped in the app. These providers process information only to provide their service to us.
We also query public medical reference sources (such as the U.S. National Library of Medicine / MedlinePlus, RxNorm, DailyMed, and openFDA) to show reference content. These requests retrieve public information; we do not send them your personal or health data.
Sharing with caregivers
Caregiver features share information only with the people you invite and only the categories you permit. You can change caregiver permissions or remove a caregiver in the app.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the app. You can delete medications, documents, and profile entries in the app. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email support.rxai@gmail.com with the subject line "Rx AI Data Deletion Request."
Security
We use reasonable measures, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Rx AI is not a HIPAA-covered service and we do not represent that the app is HIPAA compliant. Do not use Rx AI to store information you are not comfortable keeping in a consumer app.
Children
Rx AI is intended for adults managing their own or a family member's medications. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under the age required by your local law.
Your choices
Review and edit your medications, documents, and health profile in the app. Manage reminder and notification permissions in the app and in iOS Settings. Manage or remove caregivers. Contact us to request access to or deletion of your information.
Not medical advice
Rx AI helps you organize medication information and reminders and shows educational reference content. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or dosage recommendations. Always follow your doctor, pharmacist, or care team's instructions. For urgent symptoms or emergencies, call your local emergency services.
