Chrome Extensions & Google workspace Add-Ons

"[Browser extensions] add a lot of useful features to browsers, but at the same time, they pose threats to both privacy and security." - Kaspersky Labs

To protect our teachers' and students' data privacy and security, we have adopted a district allowlist model. If you have a Chrome extension or Google Workspace add-on that you would like to be made available for you or your students, please submit a request using the form above.

Websites & YouTuBe Videos

Content filters by ContentKeeper and GoGuardian are implemented across district devices to block objectionable and inappropriate content. However, sometimes beneficial websites or YouTube videos may also be blocked by default-level filtering.

If you have a website or YouTube video that you'd like approved for student use on a Chromebook, please submit a request using the form above.

Many categories of YouTube videos are already fully approved for student use. You can refer to our category guide to see what is allowed or disallowed by default-level filtering. Additionally, a video tutorial on how to determine a YouTube video’s category is available for your convenience.

Web Applications

Before using a web application in class that requires student accounts, privacy policies and terms of service need to be properly vetted and approved. Just because a student can sign up does not mean it's safe to do so. If you have a web application that you'd like approved for use with students, please submit your request using the form above.

RUSD teachers are not allowed to use web applications with students without first having them vetted and approved.

Mobile / Tablet Apps

Before installing or using an iOS app on an iPad or mobile device, privacy policies and terms of service need to be properly vetted and approved. If you have an iOS/iPad app that you'd like approved for use with students, please submit your request using the form above
