2. Write essays that synthesize information to support logically sound arguments.
3. Analyze and critically evaluate published texts for meaning, purpose, strategy, and style.
4. Demonstrate mastery in evaluating, integrating, and documenting sources in the context of culture and gender.
In order to achieve the goals for the class, you will complete a variety of assignments including the following:
learning reflections (which are only seen by me)
class discussions
a variety of online readings with frequent activities for you to check your understanding
three essays (rhetorical analysis, argument based on a claim, and causes/effects analysis)
peer responses to drafts of writing assignments
one 6-8 page research paper on an argumentative topic of your choice using a minimum of four sources
PowerPoint/Google slides or an infographic sharing highlights of your research
