Internal Affairs Complaints

Internal Affairs Complaints are a means of filing a complaint against an Officer for misconduct within their duties. These complaints aren't always specific to certain divisions an Officer is part of however as an Road Traffic Officer you're expected to always conduct yourself to the highest standard. If an Internal Affairs complaint is filed on a Road Traffic Officer and it's clear they have violated any PLPD Policies or Procedures they could face further internal disciplinary.

Internal Disciplinary

Road Traffic Command Team reserve the right to discipline any Road Traffic Officers following an Internal Affairs complaint or blatant evidence of misconduct. All Officers will have the chance to provide a justification before any action is taken however If necessary this can be overruled on agreement of the Head of Traffic and Head of General Operations. Internal Disciplinary can follow under one of the following: Mandatory Retraining, A talk with Traffic Command, A Supervised Patrol, Suspension from Traffic or Removal from the division.

Road Traffic Trainers

All Road Traffic Trainers can be subject to the normal disciplinary action for a Traffic Officer however they can also be subject to disciplinary through their administrative roles. If a Road Traffic Trainer is not seen as up to standard they will also be subject to Internal Disciplinary. Road Traffic Command reserve the right to remove any Road Traffic Trainer from their role if they're not perfoming to the standard required of them.
