Rank Structure

The Road Traffic Unit has it's own internal Ranking Structure used to organise and seperate members of the Road Traffic Unit based on what they do. Each role has it's own duties and responsibilities that are carried out by a member of that role. Similar to the PLPD Chain of Command, any concerns in RTU should be taken up by the relevant member.

Roles and Responsibilities

Road Traffic Unit Command

The Traffic Command team consists of 3 Primary Members. 1 Captain and 2 Lieutenants. These members are required to run and manage the Traffic Division. They are in charge of all Training, Recruitment and internal changes within the division. They should be one of the first points of contact for Traffic Matters.

Traffic Trainer

All Traffic Trainers are regular Traffic Officers that have been recruited and trained in the more administrative side of the Road Traffic Unit. These Trainers are required to mark applications for Traffic Officer and attend the practical stages ran by Traffic Command. They are also involved in the training of our regular Traffic Officers.

Road Traffic Officer

A Road Traffic Officer is a normal officer who has been trained to specialise in Traffic Incidents. These Officers have access to more recourses and equipment to conduct more duties in the Traffic side of law enforcement.
