Lightning Symposium 2023

We are excited to announce the 2023 Lightning Symposium that aims to shed light on one of nature's most awe-inspiring yet potentially dangerous phenomena - lightning discharge, and lightning mitigation. This symposium will bring together invited researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from Malaysia and Japan to share their knowledge and experience, and discuss new ideas and approaches for addressing this important issue.

Our main objectives for organizing this symposium are two-fold. Firstly, we aim to inform the general public about the cutting-edge research activities that will be performed in the field of lightning discharge and lightning mitigation. Lightning is a natural phenomenon that can have serious consequences on our environment, infrastructure, and human safety.

Secondly, we want to highlight the project benefits to the public. Lightning protection is not only about preventing damage to structures, but also about safeguarding human lives, preserving the environment, and ensuring the reliability of critical infrastructure.

We invite you to join us at the 2023 Lightning Symposium.
