Murata Laboratory, Cybermedia Center, Osaka University and Harada Laboratory, Facuty of Systems and Science, Shibaura Institute of Technology provides Synthetic Populations of Whole Japan based on the publicly released statistics of National Census. Currently the following attributes of synthetic households are provided. Please submit your application if you are interested in synthetic population. Please provide paper information when you wrote some publications such as academic papers including some thesis for your graduation, master course, and doctoral course. We appreciate your information when we ask for. Please note that data is only written in Japanese.
The regulation of data usage is as follows. After accepting these regulations, please submit your application.
Synthetic population does not include any privacy data. Therefore, it can not be used for demonstrative research.
Synthetic population has the same statistical characteristics of the real households and individuals within the certain difference from the real statistics.
Synthetic population does not have the compatibility with statistics that are not used in synthesization.
Synthetic population is updated when new statistics are released or a new synthetic population method is proposed.
Analysis and simulations schould be conducted using several sets of synthetic populations.
Results of analysis or simulation using synthetic population should not be released in the form of revealing specific households or individuals in the real world.
Academic papers that employ synthetic populations provided from this website should cite the indicated papers in this site. Reply smoothly when we inquire about the paper.
