Meet the Executive Board

for the 2022-2023 Rotaract Year

Cole Regnery

President

Cole is a proud Sycamore resident. He enjoys reading and passionate conversations. His favorite authors include Vonnegut and Hemmingway. His favorite philosopher is Confucius. Growing up in Sycamore, Cole witnessed the power that a small, loving town has in shaping children. Desperately believing in liberty and human capability, Cole believes that if all people grew up in a town like Sycamore, humankind would move forward on its path to triumph. The imprimatur of Sycamore on Cole's soul is the sanction by which he seeks to move Sycamore closer to the ideal it represents. This is why he joined Rotaract of Sycamore and is proud to serve as its President.

Laura Regnery

Vice President

Laura is a Sycamore native who seeks to positively affect her local and global community. A science teacher at Sycamore high school, Laura utilizes evidence based practices to equitably serve her students. She believes that people should do good and that service and fellowship clubs like Rotaract provide a way to inspire change from the bottom up while allowing stakeholders to emotionally connect. Laura is an avid baker, loves her puppy Presley, and enjoys a good TV show too. Laura understands people need to take time for themselves and wants membership in Rotaract to be fun, meet you where you are, and still promote goodness worldwide.

Kathleen hancock

Treasurer

Kathleen is the Treasurer for the Rotaract year of 2022-2023, as she finishes up her last semester at NIU this Fall where she has been studying law. In her spare time, Kathleen likes to read, paint, and kayak. Kathleen has been involved with Rotary since her freshman year of high school, as a part of Interact, and was so excited to learn that Sycamore formed a community-based Rotaract Club. Her favorite part of the Rotaract Club of Sycamore is hanging with others who love to support the community, and she looks forward to every meeting's shenanigans.

Katharine Kuhn

Secretary

Katharine is a Graphic Designer for Bio Bidet in Crystal Lake. She graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Lindenwood University in the spring of 2020. Katharine’s first experience with Rotary was through her grandparents as they are both Rotarians here in Sycamore. She decided to follow their lead and get involved in the Interact Club at Sycamore High School. After graduating college, Katharine was looking for ways to make connections, serve her community, and gain new experiences. Joining Rotaract and serving as the Secretary gives her the perfect opportunity to accomplish just that, all while being a part of something bigger than herself.
