Rendering Methods
Rendering Methods
For this section of research i will be examining a range of animation portfolios. THis will give me information on how other animators in industry present their work. This will educate me on the angles, lighting and perspectives i should render from. This is crucial as it will help the quality of my final animation increase by making it more presentable.
To find portfolios i will be using artstation. This is where people in industry share their work for other people to view. For each portfolio i will be finding what techniques were used for their final renders, what aspects of their animations stood out to me and how i could implement similar ideas into my work. (Art station, 2024)
All art work below is from an art station user named Hyunseok Jin
(Jin, 2025)
All art work below is from an art station user named Quentin Chaillet
(Chaillet, 2025)
The primary aspect from Hyunseok Jin work I noticed is how he has all of his animation side by side in one video. This allows them to be shown off together and allow people to compare them to one another. The main aspect that stood out to me is there is how the different animations perfectly fit side by side allowing me to see all the animations at once. From looing at Hyunseok Jins i learnt an effective way of presenting my final renders. by putting my animations side by side in one video it allow them to be easily compared and seen, which will be effective as I will be animating with 3 distinctive styles that all have differences.
After looking through Quentin Chaillet work i noticed one prominent aspect being how he showed of his animations before they have been rendered to show off where the lights are in the scene and what the models look like without there textures. This proves to be an effective way of showing of your animation as it gives people insight into how you made it. When i produce my own final renders i will make sure to incorporate this by gahtering recordings of the wireframes and lighitng of the scene to showe some behind the sences of how i produced my animations.

(Dawoud, 2025)
After looking at Sherif Dawoud portfolio i was impressed by how they present their animations. They present they by including many different angles in one shot allowing you to see al around the hand in one video. In addition to this they have a video of the animation rotating 360 degrees which Is another technique of showing the whole animation in one video. These techniques allow people to experience your animation in one place and compare the different perspectives of it. When I produce my final renders I plan to record my animations from many angles to show people different perspectives of them, i will also makes sure one of my final is doing a full 360 rotation as this proves to be an effective way to present work.
Rendering methods conclusion
To conclude, gathering information on rendering methods has given me insight into how to effectively present my animations. These presentation methods include putting all my animation side by side in one video, recordings of the wireframes and with no textures (to give people insight into how I made my animation.), Having multiple angles/perspectives of my animation on one screen and implementing a 360 degree turn to show of the animation in one video. These methods of presenting work have proved to be effective for other animators who work in industry. I will be implementing these methods into my final renders to ensure they are of high quality and presented effectively.
