Rosebud County Search and Rescue (RCSAR) is a volunteer emergency response organization serving Rosebud County, Montana. We assist the Rosebud County Sheriff’s Office with search, rescue, and recovery operations for missing, lost, or injured persons in rural and wilderness areas.

Who We Are
Rosebud County Search and Rescue is made up of trained local volunteers dedicated to public safety. Our team responds at the request of law enforcement and operates within established Search and Rescue procedures.
What We Do
We support the Sheriff’s Office with:
Missing person searches
Wilderness and rural search operations
Field support during emergency incidents
SAR preparedness and training
Our volunteers participate in regular Search and Rescue training focused on navigation, radio communications, safety, first aid, and field operations to support law‑enforcement‑led emergency responses.

Monthly Meetings
Rosebud County Search and Rescue holds regular monthly meetings on the 1st Thursday of each month at the Rosebud County Search and Rescue building, 201 N 8th Ave, Forsyth, MT 59327.
Business Meeting: 6:00 PM
Training Meeting: 7:00 PM
