"Give the boy his break."

Carl is the Union President of Goblin Corp, operating primarily out of the call center but rarely staying in one place for long. A heavyset goblin in his late 30s with asthma and an ever-present clipboard, Carl spends most of his time making rounds through the union halls in the Ironways district, advocating for fair treatment, proper breaks, and sustainable working conditions. He is fiercely protective of employees—particularly Nibbs, for whom he successfully secured reasonable accommodations to attend therapy sessions and maintains a carefully tracked schedule of meals and breaks.

Carl divides his attention between three ongoing priorities: addressing Switchyard grievances, organizing protest pickets, and ensuring no one is being overworked or overlooked. Known for his unwavering commitment, Carl has made it very clear that he is willing to escalate any situation—up to and including “fighting god himself”—to ensure his team is taken care of.
