To best support you, this module will also provide opportunities for you to use AI tools to make this communication a bit easier. Before moving on to the next pages, interact with the sections below to learn about several AI tools and create your account if necessary. This way, you'll be ready to practice on each page with minimal hiccups.
Magic School AI
Magic School AI is a tool that can aid educators of all grade bands in developing rubrics, syllabi, professional emails, and various other academic content. It is a free resource that any teacher can use, offering an easy-to-use interface that teachers of all skill sets can grasp with a little bit of practice. Whether for a beginning teacher looking to set a foundation for themselves, or a veteran seeking to refine their practice, AI resources such as this are a one-stop shop for almost anything a teacher would need or want to create for their students and families.

Goblin Tools AI
An additional tool that educators can use to help with effective written communication with families is Goblin Tools. It was originally created to assist neurodivergent people in simplifying tasks, but has been shown to be helpful for anyone, including teachers! The program now has a section built just for educator use on their website. Watch the video below to learn about the helpful features of Goblin Tools.

Chat GPT
ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence tool that uses the millions of pieces of information that exist on the World Wide Web to compose written work. It was designed by OpenAI as a tool meant to mimic human language. However, ChatGPT needs a human touch - it is important to remember that it is a tool, and not the only source of information you should use.
In this PLM, please note that (1) you do not have to create an account to use the basic tools of ChatGPT, and (2) you will not have to use ChatGPT for this module, but it is beneficial to understand its uses because of how universally used it is. For more information on ChatGPT, you may visit the Additional Resources page at the end of this module.
