Rooney & McConville were appointed as architects and liturgical designers for an extension and refurbishment of this circular church built in 1964 and designed by F. G. Broadbent & Partners that can hold a congregation of 300.
Interior prior to refurbishment. Tired, dull and cluttered, the sanctuary and interior needed revamping in order to facilitate more fully the worship of the community that gathered there. More space was created on the sanctuary for movement and the dignified celebration of the sacraments, and the uncomfortable pews were replaced with new in oak.
